I also don't really go for blondes ... but there is just something about Alex. I don't really think it is that whole Edward Cullen-like phenomena for me either, because I am a huge fan of Eric in the Sookie books. I was kind of "meh" about him (AG) at first ... until I saw him move and speak. Then I watched an interview he did and melted. With him, there is just an air of sex that oozes from him. And he seems *very* comfortable in his skin, which is always a turn on.
The same thing happened (again, speaking for just me) with Robert Pattinson ... totally not my type (or age group), but I saw an interview he did (well before I saw the movie Twilight, which was just recently) and find him adorable now (for completely different reasons than Alex). I totally need more than the physical attraction to get me hooked.
