He's my favourite American actor of his generation. He does a little too much scenery chewing these days, but he has been brilliant in so many films I almost forgive him for it.

I liked him in S1mone, which was more a comedy than anything else.

He's brilliant, I hate to read recent critics saying he is overplaying his parts, it's as if characters couldn't do more than batter an eyelid - I love his drive and intensity and he looked great (his smile is irresistible) and he sounds great in interviews too

I personally think Al's performances in Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico are his best. I thought he was hilarious in Dick Tracy too, as big boy. Now THAT was overacting but since the movie was made true to the cartoon format, it fit just right.
I keep wondering about his voice, though. It didn't use to be as gravelly as it is now. Is he a heavy smoker or something?

Oh yeah, love Al Pacino. He was great in the Godfather movies, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, & Scent Of A Woman. Oh, and he was really convincing as Satan in the Devil's Advocate.
Has anyone ever seen pics of his twins with Beverly D'Angelo? I bet the kids are good looking.

Dog Day Afternoon has been one of my favorite films since I was a child.
I am watching Scarface right now. On Bravo. He just met Michelle. She was flawless.

In his 20's and 30's he was an attractive man...he had the typical Italian face which was appealing if you are drawn to that type of look...but he did not age well.

He has aged wonderfully! Just because he's not stretched, buffed, and botoxed to death. He's still a brilliant, talent, beautiful man. I'd hit it, twice.

I don't think he aged well at all. It has nothing to do with grey hair or wrinkles either. Wrinkles and grey hair can be great on men. Al Pacino got skinnier and puney as he aged. To begin with, he's always been a small man...he's what, 5'6 or 5'7"? Secondly, his face thinned out so much that it made his nose look bigger. His voice is all hoarse and gravely too. On top of all that, he does that wierd mouth movement like he's trying to keep his dentures from falling out. So I'll re-iterate my last statement. He WAS cute in his 20's and 30's, but he did not grow into an attractive older man IMO. But, he is loved and he is a brilliant actor and I don't care how many fricken movies Al Pacino makes in his lifetime, for me he will always be MICHAEL CORLEONE!!!!!
