Granted that most of his fans are gay men. Straight women seem to find Angelina Jolie more appealling. They find Cruise more Appalling than appealling. For the whole Tom Cruise gay cult hero thing, read Vulgar Favours, the story of Andrew Cunanin, and the Gianni Versace murder. Cunanin was apparently obsessed with Cruise, and had gay bondage fantasies about him.
