jeesh! reminds me of griswold's home on the nat'l lampoon christmas movie. i'm cracking up at how the lights are all over across the front of the home, not just the trim...must look like a hot mess during the daylight hours.
white, black, puerto rican/everybody just a freakin'/good times were rollin'.

Some people here start in October stringing lights-I think it is more a hobby for some.

I think: The owners want to spend more on their light bill than I am willing to.

I wonder if it's in a warm area. I can't imagine spending all the time outside it would take in the cold north. Burrrrrrrr!

No joke! When I worked for the electric company, every year some people would call to have a temporary pole set up for extra lights-ususaly used for contruction sites. They would use it just for their lights! The bills really were not bad,but consider you still have your house bill.

Agreed - especially tacky themed ones, like seasonal Homer Simpsons, etc.

And I hate it when you go past a house in the middle of summer and the lazy bastards still have Christmas lights nailed up. Take it down, FFS!

Oh, that is one of my pet peeves. Some leave the lights tacked up year round so they don't have to put them up every December and I don't really care, but when they still turn them on every evening well into March, I can't stand it. Early January should be the end of it.

I'm all for Xmas lights, but some people are freaking insane. And the AWFUL 'blow up' shit too....like the blow up Santa's, etc. Holy tacky!

    Sorry, just my opinion.

Oh my gosh, my parent's neighbors go CRAZY with their Halloween/Christmas decorations. They are big fans of the blow up decorations (like a giant pumpkin, a giant Grinch, a giant snow man, a giant Santa...all of which are bigger than a truck). It's horribly tacky.

With that said, I typically like tacky displays of cheer. The more lights the better but PLEASE leave that blow up stuff in the stores.
Beneath the sun of summer a sea of flowers won't bloom without the rain.
