I agree the orange walls have to go. But I like the orange atomic clock. I have the same one in my laundry room.

See, with a good paintjob and a few modern furniture pieces thrown in with some nice vintage mid century danish stuff, this place would be totally fucking hot

    I see it too.

I was at Crate & Barrel in Chicago last week and so much of it reminded me of 60's/70's stuff. Lots of orange and green. I had visions of my mom's old green naugahyde sectional couch. And the bright colored ceramic and/or colored glass lamps. To die for.

After that, it would be amazing. Ugh. Want it.

my thoughts. the only space i don't like is the dining area. it is like a cubby hole.

I am a fan of Mid-Century Modern, so I think the house has good bones. I guess when the house was renovated back in 2006, the owner was looking to have a retro look through and through. If I were to buy the house, I'd modernize the interiors and figure out how to keep true to the architecture of the house, but that furniture and the indoor-outdoor carpet have to GO. Orange kitchens make me spastic, so I'd repaint that and update the cabinetry.

Haha, my thoughts exactly. No wonder I was reminded so strongly of my early 80's classrooms.

I feel like I am looking at behind the scenes photos from the set of the Brady Bunch. Please tell me that's not AstroTurf in the living room.

i liked the house itself so much the first time i was in this thread i neglected the floors. just noticed the orange lino. i would put parquet in both kitchen and living room and the astro-turf while fun might be better as just a small area rug instead of almost the whole room. and i would change the colourful toys on the shelf dividing the kitchen and living room with my own collection of objects. i so want this though, even if it means moving to texas for it.

The house itself is nice, but needs a complete overhaul inside.
