    ha, for me it's totally normal having the washer and dryer in the kitchen. i guess i lived in europe for too long and got used to not having a lot of extra room - apartments especially never have laundry rooms so people keep washers/dryers in the kitchen or the bathroom, if there's enough space. and here in chile i have the washer in the kitchen too - it's an old building and flats are set up euro style.

    but in texas where space is abundant it seems unnecessary.
