This place is SUPER expensive! And on a crap load of Vineyard land!

Ya it's a rental but I shutter to think about how big the price tag was for this!

^ Reports say $30,000-$50,000 per week for similar properties.

I get what you mean about it being a typical cape cod too, because although the article calls it a victorian, when i saw it i thought- typical cape cod.

All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

If I wanted the government in my womb I'd fuck a Senator

It's worth $20 million and is owned by Republicans from Mississippi. Trivia of the day.

I think the decor is entirely appropriate. You don't want anything that looks too new or "done" there, but something that's naturally evolved over the years.

    Out There

I like it outside and in. *shrugs* I'd take the painting over the couch down and burn it, but otherwise, I like.

    Default re

    It's a style.

Also, I think it is traditional for people to decorate their second homes on the Cape and MV to look homey and comfortable, not grand--rich people go there to chill and play rustic. Also, even if the owners aren't Yankee types themselves, Yankees are not that fond of conspicuous consumption.

I'm sure there are plenty of sleek contemporary homes on MV and others that are decorated to the nines, but I don't think that's the norm.
