    Ghastly.

The only thing missing is a circa 1972 drunken Elvis splayed on the furniture with a highball in hand.

    i like the tea kettle.

that's the same patio furniture my grandpop has and it's been there a LONG time, like when my mom was still growing up. it's really heavy!

Even though the colors are completely garish despite that in its own, some pieces are quite lovely, I can imagine how it must all feel. Very plush and well made. I miss the quality... not the colors, the quality of yesterday.
Amazing how untouched it all is. Immaculate condition!

Ya, the stories those carpets could tell, buried deep in 60 years of dirt.

It's cool as a relic but I could not live there. I would party with Sput over a weekend there.

The Shamrock green is just jarring.

I think that's why I wouldn't kill it so fast!

I'd recover those sofas. The shape is great and are used in a lot of interiors now. I also love those dining chairs. The frames are great. I'd cover them in beige linen.

The pink bedroom with the platform reminds me of my grandmother's friend who I called Aunt Estelle. She looked like Lana Turner, always in fur, often white fox. Her apartment in Miami had lavender wall to wall carpet with white french furniture and gold accents. The bedroom had white carpet over a bed platform with lavender and gold curtains. It was about 1970. My mother said she dated mobsters, but only the rich ones.

I remember my parents having a chair in a similar green floral pattern as those couches. Went GREAT with the red shag carpet!
