My shoes and boots are in great order. Everything is packed away in the closet with a post it describing the shoe in great detail and in some cases a photo on the outside of the box.

The rest of my mess is not sorted out but the shoes are a step forward.

I have 2 of those round shoe holder things. I have to get rid of mine regularly anyhow, for new & cuter ones. If they are once a year shoe-like Christmas-y, I put them in clear shoe boxes. My shoe holders are like this:

Are the shoe stands in a walk in closet?

Throwing out is next to Godliness Cheetopia.

Me too! I always want to be a relentless thrower-outer but I simply cannot. I feel pangs of anxiety when I throw stuff out/give it away because I fear I may need it later.

I know logically it makes no sense because if I were to make a colossal error, I could buy a new version of the item I threw out but I can't stop myself from feeling that way. Gah.

You should have my Sister! She is ruthless! When she visits we go through my closet. She hold up an item. I say its perfectly good. She says yes-but not on you! JUNK! I must say it is very helpful. I whine a lot,to no avail.

I really need to organize my room. Closet is filled with stuff I haven't worn in years, but for some reason can't part with. I have no room in there for anything new so I need to do some drastic cleaning, but am too lazy and can't get in the mood.

Yes you can. Make it a party. Invite a friend with flair over and go through each piece. Their opinion will help you sort and toss.

I've for real sorted through my clothes and I've managed to sell 1 corset, 1 dress, 1 bathing suit, and 1 camera battery on eBay and 1 sweater... now I need to go back through and stop screwing around and for real get rid of some more stuff.

Okay, guess what I did last night...

I rearranged my bedroom. Ever since I moved I just got my bed and dresser in there and just shoved boxes and shit in a corner. I got to thinking this is where I need peace; fuck this nonsense!!!
So in about 3 hours I managed to get all my sewing stuff and art stuff in one area. The rest of the clothes that need to be goodwilled just need to be folded and sent on their way... I really got a ton of stuff cleared out last night and it just feels so nice.

McJag probably hasn't organized in weeks now. Although she'll probably feel the pressure now that this thread is bumped back up to the top
