I like everything but the tub.

I've always fantasized about having a japanese bath. I wouldn't go for the metal one they have here, maybe something less industrial looking.

I also want a sweat lodge in my back yard, and a skylight above my bed so I can watch the stars as I fall asleep.

I like the setting, the stones, the feeling. If I had to shave my legs by sitting on the edge, I'd fall in.

I don't think it's ugly and it's a great little combo thing. It would be great for an older kids room or something... provided they're one of those people that can have a completely cleared off table/desk...

That's accurate. It's basically a big metal pot, right? Just cut up some carrots, la Bugs Bunny!

This would have been perfect for the little studio apartment I had in Manhattan years ago. God that place was small - and expensive.

I'm looking at putting one of these in our en suite.
However, there will be a "normal" bath in the main bathroom.

    Thanks for the link Honey!

I'd have to stand while bathing. Must be for short people, like Tom.

Default Do you like Wet Rooms?

A wet room is a bathroom, where the shower area is level with the surrounding floor.

Default Do you like this Shoji Screen Cherry Blossom divider?

    Shoji Screen Cherry Blossom

A fine black finish, large pane shoji screen, with a lovely Japanese brush art rendering of a cherry tree in bloom, printed on the front of the shades. Display as art screen or use for privacy and to define space. Crafted from durable, lightweight Scandinavian Spruce, using Asian style mortise & tenon joinery. Shade is strong, fiber reinforced, pressed pulp rice paper- allows diffused light, yet provides complete privacy. Lacquered brass, two- way hinges mean you can bend the panels in either direction. Available only in black finish and 3-panels.
