Default Do you like the BedUp?

BedUp is a good, practical way to free some space in your home. When you need the bed - just lower it from the ceiling and when you don’t you can return it to the ceiling. BedUp is easy to use, I mean getting it up and down, there’s only one button. You can stop the bed at any level. There are also lamps in the bottom of the bed so when you are not using it it becomes a ceiling with lamps. BedUp costs from $4,300 not the cheapest bed in the word but definitely the most practical.

OMFG, it's crazy. I'm afraid it'll fall on me some day.

It's kind of cool, but I prefer a more aesthetically pleasing shower curtain.

^I'd probably be afraid of it falling on me too. I'm glad I don't have to live in such a cramped apartment that I'd want one of these.

Well, it doesn't exactly suit my home, but I do love geek stuff - I'd love to have an attic office suite or something full of this kind of stuff one day.

We had something similar when we lived in 10 by 10 rooms in the mountains. We called them 'skybeds' they were fastened to the walls an ceiling by wood/nails and heavy chains. They never fell down, but given the level of drunkeness about the place, many an idiot fell out of them.

I don't even make my bed every day, I hardly think I'd spend time every morning rolling it up.

I kind of like it and would consider if I were living in a cramped studio like environment in a city. This does seem more appropriate for the European and Japanese marketplaces where space is at a premium.
