along the lines of what I'd expect, although i thought it would be a little more white.

We're planning to have our kitchen remodeled next year and were thinking granite. Sounds like it might not be a good idea?

If you like it, use it.

I like granite, we've redone two kitchens in the past 4 years and we put granite in both. We looked at other options, like natural stone, engineered stone, marble, concrete, Zodiac, Silestone, slate (which we used in some of our bathrooms), etc, but there were pros and cons to them, and in the end we went with granite. It comes in loads of colors, and we're very happy.

I'm not seeing people I know (mostly city-dwelling childless gayz) use granite any more--they're going for concrete, stainless, or wood. It's all just trends, though. What they're choosing now will also be "out" in ten years. Pick what you like and what will have good resale value where you live.

Best thing I can say about it is that some of the furniture looks comfortable for lounging on, as opposed to the geometric, artsy, butt-nerve killing modern stuff that we seem to see a lot of, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. That bathroom tho! *shudder* It looks like the walls have got some serious black mold issues.

The upholstery on the chair in the living room is really thin and cheapy. Maybe her huge ass flattened it?
