Everything is clean and tidy here, the house is big and there is live in help. The basement is messy tho, soon as the weather gets better i ll fix it.
My summer house i manage alone and it is perfect,i can find what i need with my eyes closed.
I know it is sick, but i cant relax if my room is untidy.
Lately i just get rid of any stuff i dont REALLY want or need.
It is very liberating and relaxing..

^^ I agree, I can't relax either if my house is messy.

I am a pig. we are in the process of moving, though to be honest, I'm not the neatest person in the world to begin with. I clean the rooms that HAVE to be seen weekly and other rooms about once a month. I wish I were neater. I wish my son were neater - he is a pig also.

Hey, the exercise will keep you warmer than huddling on the couch! Smoke a J, put on some upbeat tunes, that always gets me motivated, lol.

Oh believe me, if I had something to smoke, I would!

...and would probably veg out on the couch with X-Files DVDs.

It's not the moving around that bothers me, it's the cold water (which I need to get my hands into to properly clean the house). I have bad circulations, and during winter my fingers swell to the sizes of saucages. Right now my hands make Angelina's look delicate-swollen, stiff, veins popping out and some actual wounds from the cold.

...have I sufficiently grossed everyone out, or would you care for pictorial evidence?

^ I've worked with both children and the elderly. Nothing grosses me out anymore.

DD-you are not Southern ,are you? A Southern woman would not have batted an eye & said "As you can see, I am clearing out cothes for Goodwill, so just work around it. Would ya'll like some tea?"

No, I'm from California, but if I could speak in a believeable Southern accent I could have pulled that off! I actually did donate to the Goodwill last week, and some of the boxes in my room from hell are for a Goodwill donation again.... I just have to find time to drop it off at their drop off location. I'm just laughing from the visual of me saying that to those guys!

I did mention to them that the house was a mess and my husband was doing new projects. It's true and that's why a lot of stuff is in our room, he is in the middle of putting tile in the dining room and everything was taken out of there. Plus there are Home Depot buckets all over downstairs where he has being doing his projects this week. Now it's raining so everything has been put on hold. At least the areas where the baby is are safe and clean (no dirty dishes, no dirty diapers anywhere!), so hopefully they didn't think I was a horrible mother! No child protective services for me!

I emailed my husband and told him that he was lucky he avoided the embarassment for today!
