    Pseudo-country english....

I half like it (dinning room, kitchen) & have hate it (the black, the monochrome, the fox hunting pictures, the pillowcases with the monograms... )

I guess I am one of those faux masculine gay guys cause I love it. Besides, it's near my home as well, sothat gives it extra props in my eyes. Of course, my modest abode isn't nearly as opulent as this Kentucky equestrian homestead.

I have an abnormal HATE for houses like this. Seriously, it looks like a barn on the outside, with some fancy windows thrown in, to make it look like a house.

Forget the furniture, I LOVE those hardwood floors.

This is really bland and banal. I was expecting something fabulous.

I don't like it. There are a few nice things in there, but overall it has no character. The fact that this is my ridiculously hetero husband's wet dream of a house is an indictment in itself.

If it weren't for me, everything in our house would be big, brown, phallic, and leathery.

It's too affected, too artificial, too mannered, too gay. Way too much leather as well.

Are you suggesting that Shinola's hubby is gay?

^^ You know, I can kind of see it the "too gay" thing. My husband would like their stuff, but he would never put it together in that way.

    Or maybe I'm overlooking something . . .

    Well, you're not alone.

I love it. Especially the colorized books in the kitchen, never thought of that.

LOL!... I hope not... I find it very "this is how we think an english country house should be".... its not english country house, its just a strange faxsimilie of one...

Well, I like it.. I wish there was more color.. even if they were muted shades.. and less white, black, and grey. But I do appreciate the layout, and the architectural details.

Eh...it's ok. The outside is beautiful, but the inside isn't very welcoming. If that was my horsey retreat I'd want squashy overstuffed sofas and that sort of thing.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
