I kind of love it but they must have one serious Murphy's Oil budget every month.

I really like some of the inside but that gagworthy view of all the other boxes is depressing.

I think it's visually fabulous, but don't like the idea of being near the freeway(!) where there's going to be fumes, commotion, and people dumping stuff/runoff into the water. Yech. Couldn't determine where exactly this is?

All I could think was... maybe the bed's that high so they'd have time to save themselves if the house starts to sink? I agree, it's dumb.

I love the idea of living on water (I used to spend the summer holidays on a friend's family canal boat when I was younger) but the shipping container look of the outside doesn't do it for me. I also hate the bed as I'm someone who needs to be upright, bathroom visited, first smoke smoked and halfway through my first coffee before I could be considered conscious in a morning and I'd probably injure myself badly on the first morning. That and I think it's a bit too steep of a fall if you start slipping off the edge during rumpy-pumpy.

I love this! They have this in Sausalito too (a houseboat community), I would love to own one. This one is very serene.

They'll be laughing and pointing at us once the sea level rises.

    mission bay in SF.

lots of houseboat communities here in the bay area, particularly in sausalito/mill valley and larkspur.

I like it. It just needs some window coverings or window tint for privacy.

Love the concept. Love most of the interior, but hate the exterior...especially how close it is to others. I probably would feel like I had no privacy, especially with all those windows. I seem to be the only one, but I LOVE the bed. High beds are just a mental comfort thing to me...makes me feel like a little kid

Happy trails to you...until we meet again.
I love & miss you Dad.
