Thanks, I took it myself! Got lots more of the interior and some closeups of the freaky, freaky outsides, on both sides.

I have mixed feelings about the Sagrada Familia. It just seems that the stuff done after Gaudí died doesn't quite match the style of the early main part. Like those 3 towers to the left in that picture, look cartoonish and not really in the same style as the rest of it. To me they look like a Disneyland rendering of a Gaudí style church. They say it will be finally finished around 2020.

    Gorgeous photos everyone!

I realized I made a mistake in my earlier post. I was asking my dad about that church I mentioned upthread. It's on Baldwin Avenue in Sierra Madre, not Sierra Madre Avenue. It's a very old church, kind of small, lots of trees, and it's on the right side of the street not too far up Baldwin. I don't know why it's not listed in the online phone book. But it's very picturesque and peaceful, and quite unique. I'm sure it's still there, no way would a city like Sierra Madre do away with a building like that. I think it may still be an operating church, too.

There are so many beautiful architechture styles around the world when it comes to temples, but to me simplicity beats oppulence. The little chapel in the Schoenstatt Sanctuary in Curitiba is my fave, followed by a small church that had no name to be seen in the middle of nowhere (I only know it was in the state of Goiás, Brazil). The first is just breathtaking in its simplicity, and the second is a small church with interior walls made of pink quartz.

I see the world (untainted by humans) as a temple:

We have many old churches around.
    Here is Saint-Anne de Beaupré:

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers."

I have been in love with this church ever since I was a little girl.
It's in Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic
