Call me crazy, but I'd totally spend the night in that house. I'd probably shit my pants the entire time.. but the supernatural fascinates me.

Wow! You came into this thread to call me out on that? I'm SO honoured.

Read the thread, its not difficult. And I'd say the same to a longtime poster, too. In fact I have. Boo!

Did they execute him? I thought that he was still in jail?
I totally believe the guy did his whole family with no help from anyone else. He claimed voices told him to off his family. One reason why the Lutz's were able to sell their possession stories. Friends and other family members swear he had a grudge against his father that caused him to murder him and the rest of his family.

Thanks Gas_Chick, I know very little about it. There is a crazy site set up by his "wife", and lot of others, I got data overload! LOL! I needed the primer version (which you kindly supplied).

    Did anyone else watch this?
A&E Presents "Amityville: The Final Testament" this Sunday, October 31 at 8PM ET/PT

This one-hour special presentation delves into the 1974 Amityville murders. Over 35 years ago, Ronald DeFeo, Jr. was sent to prison for killing his entire family, but years later questions still circle. Now, terminally ill DeFeo sits for a final definitive interview to set the record straight with the help of renowned psychic Jackie Barrett. Through Barrett's paranormal investigation and the words of DeFeo himself, "Amityville: The Final Testament" will give a never-before-seen perspective of this infamous story. Barrett's uncanny psychic ability and unfiltered access to DeFeo will be sure to bring forth information that will bring chills up the spines of true crime and paranormal enthusiasts alike, making this a Halloween special like no other.

I watched it. I didn't recall that they ever suspected the sister helped him with the murders. Need to google.

Crazy Ronald has changed his story so many times. I remember he once said that sister Dawn was in on but nobody believes it. And while I do believe in ghosts and the paranormal, I'm not sure this house is haunted. The only thing that might make me believe it is was that creepy picture of the little boy peeking around the open door.

I would totally live there. It's a gorgeous house on the water! The murders happened a long time ago and the families that lived there following the lying Lutz couple have been perfectly happy. That has probably done a lot to remove any negative energy left in the house.
