    house built with a standard budget but a very particular design, located in the rotterdam south harbour area.

    It's not only Rotterdam but that building is one of many other craptacular buildings here in the Netherlands they call "works of art". The problem is that city counsil will dish out the money and approve of this mess. Trust me, it's becoming an eye sore and it's getting worse.

    Great for a museum, horrible for a home. It looks a lot like the Denver Art Museum's new contemporary wing.

    i do like the looks of it, but i wouldn't want to live there.

    but, i would jack this piece of art in a heartbeat. it is SO me & i already have the perfect spot in my place picked out for it!

    Don't they have building regs in Europe now? That open staircase and the walkway above with absolutely no handrail or bannister is a total deathtrap.

    I believe the Denver Art Museum and the Rom Crystal are by the same architect, Daniel Libeskind. As for the house I like the visage from the front outside.

    totally agreed. that staircase scares the crap out of me...being the klutz that i am, i'd take a tumble off it it in a heartbeat. same thing goes for that catwalk type area at the top of said staircase...freaky!
