i like it. but i think brussels would be a hard place to live if you didn't already have friends and/or family there.

that's what i used to think.
until my uncle moved there at age 54, hardly knew anybody, and he absolutely adores it. and i've heard similar from other expats living there or who lived there.
i've been to see him a whole bunch of times since and it really is a surprisingly warm city, despite the reputation.

It creeps me out. Too many bone-like things and bone colors. I see that it is nice, though.

Bleech. I'm with Shinola--some nice elements but overall feel is cold.

I like it, though I don't care for the old-fashioned paintings. I think some modern art would suit it better.

I like it. And is that the architect in the last pic? I guess I will take it if he comes with the place as well.

*I actually LOVE the decorative high ceilings and the arches, etc.

I love most of it, except I would pick some different artwork. Other than that it's quite beautiful.

I love this apt. with its classic architecture, and the antique furniture. The artwork has to go, I agree. Some of it is too bizarre and doesn't go with the feel of the place.

Plus some stuff made me scratch my head, like those ugly plywood-looking bookshelves that totally obscure those beautiful big windows in the bedroom (2nd pic). That seems really weird.
