The only splash of color is that horrid green in the kitchen, which blinds me.

And whenever I see white cabinets in a kitchen, the domesticated side of me just thinks "God those would get dirty easily."

The interior's trying to hard. Like, it wants to be super modern, and it's just overkill. I don't like it.

I also never understood white carpet, could you imagine keeping that clean?

No. Too sixties, too retro nothing and all chairs look uncomfortable.
    Wrong color schemes. Just no.

The bones of this house are great, I like the kitchen (I've had a cream carpet - no cleaning issues!) I like the rug in the living room & the tiles around the fireplace! Awsome! The workstation isn't bad, like grey with a hint of duck-egg blue.
The decor is too little Marmont for me, but I love love love this picture!

Save for the stone patio a few lovely interior details, this house could be called "2001: A Space Odyssey"

(Funny, I own a brown ware pitcher like the one in the first pic, got it from my mom. I also have a print of the dachsund drawing, or one just like it)

i love it! but i'd have to get rid of that cutesy dog picture. or wolf, or whatever it is.
the desk chair does look uncomfortable but the tulip chairs definitely aren't and neither is the eames LCW and those armchairs don't look uncomfy either.

i love that they kept the bathroom intact and didn't modernise it.

Haha, me too Novice. I have figured I am anti-modern and Sput just loves her some modern style. Just opposite ends of the spectrum.

That bathroom reminds me of the one we have now, exact l.a. art deco style down to the sink. I'm not crazy about this one's yellow/black combo but it looks like it's in good condition. It drives me crazy how I actually found a deco bathroom I like (remember how I bitched about them being so ugly and all over L.A.) But ours is so old and needs repairs/plumbing updates the landlords are too cheap to make. Such a waste of beautiful classic/historic style. I am totally jellus of restored original classic-style stuff.
