The "after" pics are all computer-generated so hopefully the owners will put their foot down before it becomes a reality.

the before is awful but the after looks boring and soulless and it's all matchy matchy. looks like hotel furniture.
i like parts of the new kitchen (the steel parts) and the white chairs in the 3rd pic from the bottom.

^^ LOL! I saw the bedroom and thought "hotel"
I like the old stone front, but it went from looking like a 80's generic house to a 21stC generic house....

^^ Yes, that limestone facade was sweet and totally appropriate in Austin, where you see a lot of it, and it's beautiful.

Yes, the house needs a redesign, but these new interiors are dreadful.

I really like the 1930's style exterior

But equally I love those arched windows too - It looks like they have more or less rebuilt this place in places....

I liked the pool outside. If I had to live there, I'd be hanging out at the pool all day.

    Again, GET SOME COLOR!!

Too many sharp angles. I don't think I could get comfortable in a house like that.

I'd rather renovate the whole thing in the original style

i actually like the new architecture better. i'll take 1930s modernist over faux Alamo or whatever it was before. but yeah, there's almost nothing left of the original structure it seems.

The colors are so muted.. beige and brown and woody colors... so boring. I'd rather they gut the whole place and renovate it in a more classical style.. a few pops of color here and there and some rustic Italian architectural details would have been lovely.

Love it. When can I move in? I will be bringing more paintings for the walls. Might coat a wall or 2 in something vibrant. Overall, want.
