Default Dennis Quaid's Los Angeles home

The interiors are “relaxed, comfortable; you walk in and throw your feet up—but at the same time, they’re artistic,” says Kimberly Quaid. Interior designers John and Krista Everage brought a farmhouse feel to the spaces, adding rough-hewn beams from a Pennsylvania barn to the living room. Kneedler-Fauchère floor lamp. Sconces and branch side table base, Gregorius/Pineo. Cowtan & Tout chaise pillow fabric. Wing chair pillow fabric, Clarence House.

“Dennis and I are really lucky because we have the same taste in things,” says Kimberly Quaid (with the actor and their twins, Thomas and Zoë). “We’d see something and just instantly know that’s what we wanted.”

“I’ve got steam; she has a big tub,” the actor says of their separate baths. Donghia ottoman fabric. Ann Sacks French limestone pavers

Artwork, an important element throughout, figures prominently in the master bedroom. The paintings, from left, are by Rimi Yang and Thrush Holmes. Drapery fabric from Bergamo.

The couple, with their five dogs, in the garden, which is landscaped with native sycamores and oaks and fruit trees—“avocado, apples, peaches, lemons, limes and figs,” notes Kimberly Quaid—as well as a putting green.

“We created an outdoor room with the beauty of interior furnishings and art,” says John Everage. The painting is by Mark Perlman. Perennials trims and sofa stripe.

Overdone like most celebrity homes we see. Isn't there a rule for furnishings like there is with fashion accessories, something like put on 3 pieces and take one off/arrange furniture and remove at least one item? There's just too much going on in most of these rooms.

Best room: bathroom. Too much wood going on and too many photos of himself.

It feels comfortable, but I would have liked to have seen some color on the walls. It's all very beige.

I really like the exterior, interior spaces, and interior colors. Now some of the furniture itself..well.. might change a few things/remove a few things there.

And.. NO LOW MIRRORS IN A BATHROOM! other than that I like the bathroom ...but wtf with those low mirrors? -who the hell wants to catch a glimpse of themselves scrambling out of the tub when the phone rings?

^^ You're right! As soon as somebody stands up.....

The pendant lights over the tub make me nervous.

Yeah, too rustic. Nice living room floors.

I really love the house, but yeah, the faux rustic mix is not to my taste. The exterior is fantastic.

I wonder if those low mirrors in the master bath are for freakay times?

I really like it, with the exception of the master bedroom, which looks like there are just random pieces of furniture scattered around.

It would look good if everything weren't so beige and blah.
