The whole focus here is the ART. I think it accomplishes that with no real competition. It is interesting to see who we could roommate with!

I think there's a happy medium between faux chateau and dentist's office. Seriously; that place is fucking hideous, I'd go insane if I had to live in an environment like that.

i adore it. it's modern and minimalist but the details are simply beautiful and it's well thought out. that onyx wall, the concrete countertops, the system for hanging all the art... amazing. of course if i were to move in there are a couple of small details i would change - i'd add some mid-century pieces (chairs, for example) and different chairs/stools in the kitchen. but those are small details. this is seriously one of the most beautiful homes i've seen in a while.

The problem with a lot of modern interior design seems to be context. If you are single or a couple then you can indulge in the impractical and trendy. Once kids and/or animals come into the equation you have totally different requirements for a practical living space.
