Saw this on HGTV's design star..Jennifer and Matt both did terrific jobs. Sad they can't fix the whole city this quick!

Looks great! I feel bad for the victims. A lot of them are still doing pretty badly.

Does anyone else start hating where they live after looking at a few of these threads? Am I the only one?

*Honey can you please start posting some absolute horrific nightmare ones..to balance things out..so we do not have to be bittur and jellus?

*think velvet paintings, Horrific kitsch, wretched excess, horrible color combos, etc..stuff that we can recoil from in horror, or laugh our asses off at?
Don't slap me, cause I'm not in the mood!

You are so not the only one. I tend to look at them for motivation and hopefully
i will be able to afford a make over like this in the future.
Nicely done. Glad for the family that got the help.

K, if you're going to have red cupboards they can only be red lucite modern ones. simply painting tacky country style ones red and suffing modern fixtures beside it makes it look cheap.

^ I agree, but, considering this is from an HGTV design star challange, I'm guessing they had limited time, and money.

The cabinets aren't painted red, it maybe a stain but that's how they come:

^ I don't think those are the same cabinets... are they?

The first ones have different handles and they do look painted. Look again, they can't be the same cabinets, right?

Plus notice on the first set of cabinets, the handles are reflected off the cabinet surface. It wouldn't do that if they were stained, but glossy paint would reflect the handles with a camera flash.

Not trying to debate, I'm just curious.
