    Default Neighborhood Civic Club

So I'm thinking about joining the civic club and "sisterhood" for my new neighborhood; the preferred beverage to bring to meetings is wine so why not? Is anyone active in their neighborhood in this way?
I hate it when I spell shit wrong... ugh... anyway, I think it could be interesting. Turns out they have a web forum and ummmm some of those people are just a little off in their heads.

I'm just worried it's going to be weird and I won't "fit in" like should I buy a fucking cashmere twinset that isn't black... or something. How hard could it be to get along with a bunch of lushes.

Twin set and a pearl necklace. I wonder if they do lollipops?

Well I don't think my neighborhood has one. We just have an old man in our street who gossips about everyone and if someone new moves in, he goes to their house and gives them the 'scoop' on the street. Loser.

I don't think I'd enjoy being part of a neighborhood clique; if you had a falling out with any of them you'd probably have to move.

I think this sounds like a great idea & could be really good for you to hear some other viewpoints. I would like it! We are all a little off in our heads, don't you think?
I didn't start out to collect diamonds, but somehow they just kept piling up.-Mae West

I love it. My son will be going to school in the neighborhood in the next year and a half; I don't plan on ever moving again so I think it's a good way to get to know the other families and what not.
