    Default Your house smells!

We got, or I did rather, this air spray thingy that goes off every 39 minutes (scares us, we jump) and it sprays the scent of Frangipani (which I mis-said for a while, I used to go around saying "Look at me now Frangipani, and tell me you don't love me") and I swear it is the nicest smell! It makes out lounge and our hallway smell like bubble bath, which was cute at first but now whenever I smell it I am reminded of childhood, so it's sweet.
And it's about time personally, because we've never had air fresheners in our house, our house has always had a certain 'non-smell' to it, or lately, 'rotting dog's leg' smell. But that's gone. And I notice whenever I go to a friend's house, and it's always been like this, they've always had these terrific scents to their house, and the people themselves usually carry it with them, and I think "where on earth do they obtain such intriguing smells?" I'd usually skip the 'wondrous travelling magician' option and assume it was the mothers of the house and their terrific womanly ways, but no.......... I mean, no offense mothers........ I think it's just scents!
What's your house smell like? What scents/candles, etc do you use?

    I use Frangipani.

I love vanilla scented candles. Warm sugar cookies scented candles. Pumpkin spice and applie pie scented candle sometimes. I'd buy a fresh-baked bread scented candle if I could find one. Basically I like my house to smell like a bakery! Some people find it cloying but to me the smells are so comforting.

You must have been born in a bakery.

That sounds delightful...warm, cozy and always a sweet nibble within reach. What's not to like?

I love the scent of vanilla. I like to keep the house in one scent so I buy all vanilla candles. It does however make me hungry for sweets though.
Into the sunrise. The sunset is sad to me….it only means the night is coming.

Huge lilac scent fan here, too. My mom got a Yankee Candle catalog and asked if I wanted to pick a couple out. I picked a Lilac scented one, and she said "I knew you would pick lilac". We had lilac bushes by the road at the house I grew up in, and it's always been my favorite scent. I need to get some lilac bushes for my current house.
You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. Hope Floats

I also love the food scented candles. Buttercream Frosting, Pumpkin Spice, Gingerbread, Sugar Cookie, Vanilla Lime, etc. It's just very soothing.

The really fruity or flowery smelling candles and air fresheners remind me of the smell of cleaning products/soaps in public bathrooms or porta-potties.

^^Same here...the baked good scents...buttercream frosting is my favorite. Vanilla, caramel apple, and I recently bought a Cinnabon candle that I love.

The fruity/flowery ones are just too overpowering for me.

Cinnamon or pumpkin pie (cinn and nutmeg) in the winter.

    Satsuma (orange) in the summer.

I like spicy smelling candles or Nag Champa incense. My favorite

I love Yankee Candles. They really smell up the house. My boyfriend HATES the smell of vanilla (how weird is that???), so vanilla is out for me.

I detest vanilla scented anything. It makes me feel so nauseated, but I know most people love it. I hate that a lot of lipglosses seem to smell like vanilla.

I like citrusy scents. Fruity smells seem fresh and clean to me.
