Default Look inside Pete Sampras' $25 million home

According to Big Time, tennis star Pete Sampras and his actress wife Bridgette Wilson-Sampras have put their 10,376-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $25 million. They purchased the home, which is at 825 Loma Vista Drive, in 2001 for $8.3 million, particularly drawn to its quiet tennis court.
Over a year later, they put the house on the market for $8.9 million, describing it as 8,200 square feet, but later took it off. Since then, they have expanded and remodeled the mock Tudor manse, which was originally built in 1933, adding 2,100 square feet to it. It features, 12 baths, exquisite detailed finishes throughout, a professional theater, an office/library, maid's quarters, a master suite with sitting room, his and hers baths, and a sun deck," in addition to "magnificently landscaped grounds, a north/south tennis court, a putting green, play areas, and a pool." There's no word on why Sampras is selling the home, but I wouldn't be surprised if the poor housing market is affecting celebs and tennis stars, too. Or maybe he's just bummed that his $25 million home sits on only 1.04-acre; I'd say that qualifies as a fault.

Well I am impressed more by the Darby Estate near where I live. Much bigger house(now used as banquet facility though)..4000 acres, a private airstrip, a private racecourse, private golf course, a private zoo, racehorses, and even a herd of buffalo. Also the Wexner estate(you know, Les Wexner, the closet case who started up the Limited, etc.) has a 1000 acre estate near here that is worth 50 million(and that is by cheap Ohio standards).

I am not particularly impressed by the Sampras house. just another very large Beverly Hills/Bel Air/Brentwood/Holmby Hills mansion. In that area it would have to be alot more than that to really stand out. And it would need more than 1 acre.

it is very nice and all of course( 18 times larger than my place LOL)..I just mean given what it has around it..I am rambling never mind.

I dont particularly like Tudor style houses.. especially huge mansions. They just seem tacky and old to me.

I just don't understand why a family of four - wealthy or not - needs all this space. 12 bathrooms?

If anybody is doing the cleaning in that house, it's a staff of maids. People who own homes like these don't clean them.

Unless....they're OCD freaks like Joan Crawford who run a finger over and under everything looking for dust and then grab the maid and give an actual demonstration of how a floor, tub, etc. is to be properly cleaned!

I admire the talent that goes into all the woodwork in the place. I find it classic and calming, but a bit stuffy for my tastes. Still I'd prefer classy and stuffy over the tacky McMansion faux classic, vomit inducing styles you see all the time now:

Barf. Trying so hard yet failing so epically.

I just typed in "McMansion". This kind of thing is what you usually see tacky celebs buying.. it's gaudy, over the top, "new money" classless garbage masquarading as luxury.

I like the grape vine thingy. I'd stick a table under it, hang some candles and have lots of parties.
