Describe your bedroom when you were a kid
The colors? Posters on the walls? Flowery bedspread? Laminate furniture? Wallpaper? Were you tidy or messy?

Lavender walls. Mahogany 4 poster bed. White organdy curtains with white sheers unneath. Mother took are of mainetance, so it was very neat! The only pictures were ones I had painted & she had framed.
Even when I was tiny I had a separate play room, so toys were kept there. I did have a pale green "blankey" I hauled around when little-that came with me to bed! A really pretty room!
Oh! Forgot to say-I had a hand made quilt my Grandmother made me-white with cross stitch & applicay, shades of pink -roses.

My bedroom looked similar to the second picture you posted. White, girlie furniture. White bedding with small pink flowers and a canopy bed!!
Eventually it went to rainbows and baby blue, before settling on a brass bed, hardwood floors, a nice area rug and walls that looked similar to a subway station!!

White walls, multicoloured rug, bed on one side and piano on the other, with a desk on the third wall (under the window). I had a shitload of shelves-stuffed toys over the piano, and about eight shelves full of books over my bed.
I was messy-still am, come to think of it.

Guess we were into lavendars as kids, because I too had lavendar walls. Nothing special on the windows, but a beautiful, girly room. A canopy bed with white frilly stuff on the posts and all. Cedar furniture (cedar canopy also).
Unfortunately, I was messy as hell. And I didn't appreciate the wonderful and beautiful things I had......
Now that I am an adult, and have to pay for things, I appreciate the things I have and take care of them. And have a very clean room.
But there are days I do miss my old lavendar room and canopy.....sigh.

Mine, too. I think my parents bought it when I was in 1st grade and I had that until probably 10th, when I got a beautiful dark wood suit. My parents still have that white suit in a bedroom, but they've taken down the canopy. I sat on it not to long ago and I have no idea how I slept on that thing - the mattress is as hard as a brickbat and the frame creaks loud enough to wake the dead.

Oddly enough, I can't remember my first bedroom decor...maybe because I shared with a sister. I do remember my pre-teen years and that god-awful decor I thought was the coolest. The walls remained white I think but all of the curtains, bedcovers, linens and pillows were psychodelic in theme. Black light lamps, bold colors in reds, blues, purples, pinks, posters of The Partridge Family and other bands popular at that time.
God, it makes my head hurt now~

Lime green wall to wall shag rug, modern danish furniture, textured white wall paper, large pineapple print window treatment and bed cover. I wasn't allowed to tack anything the walls but on occassion I'd tape up duran duran and billy idol posters.

we moved around so i didn't have the same room my whole childhood but from age 4 to 10 i shared a big room with my little sister, it also had a walk in closet and a small bathroom. we had white beds with carved bedposts, kind of rustic country looking, and a night table between the two. carpet on the floor which i think was kind of a light beige. white walls, white curtains, a wood dresser (painted green). lots of pictures on the wall, including some of my mum's drawings and paintings. and later on, posters of whatever i was into - including some pretty embarrassing ones like debbie gibson
and my sister and i always had matching bedspreads which i hated because my sister loved pink and girlie things and i didn't so it was hard finding ones we both liked.
later i had my own room and it had a closet with mirror doors, white curtains, a white desk (probably ikea), and loads of drawings and posters/magazine pictures covering most of the walls.
