It's a beautiful house and I like that it hasn't been renovated to the extent that it's stripped of its original features. my only quibble is the bathroom, if you're going to put stone on the wall behind the shower, take it all the way up to the ceiling, don't be a cheap bastard and stop halfway. either go all the way or just tile it but either way, it should go all the way up.
all the furniture in it needs to die in a fire but it's probably just for staging, though it's so ugly it might have been better to not stage it at all.

Not too shabby for an ex-King.

I'd like to see the kitchen.

the pictures all look like they were taken of different houses - no cohesive theme running through, except for maybe ugly & dated.

Is this where they lived when they were "exiled"?

Apparently it's where they lived while the Governor's House (in the Bahamas) was being redecorated to Wallis' taste. It's on sale for $8.5m.

I agree that the furniture and paintings look awful and must be there for staging purposes. I like the setting and the panelling, though.

Why is there a painting of Prince Harry and Estelle Getty in one of the "bedrooms"? And did the agent just plonk furniture down anywhere and then decide "yeah, let's call this a bedroom"? Some of the rooms look almost identical, like they're stage sets and the set designer has to rush in and change the colour scheme and background for each scene/photo before they bring in the furniture, but it's still the same room.

Not sure but from everything I've read or watched about him, he was the submissive in the relationship. Apparently he liked to be bossed and dominated, humiliated even.

    ^^^ All of this!

Maybe he and Wallis had a whole BDSM thing going on.

I've read he was quite promiscuous and risky; carrying on affairs with married women.(Pre-Wallis). His father, George V was disgusted with him. He (George) was quoted as saying re: Edward: "He will ruin himself in 12 months after I'm dead!" It's also been said that George V favored his son "Bertie" (Elizabeth's dad) and that he "preferred nothing stand in the way of Bertie and then Lillibet reigning." (or something to that effect...I'm paraphrasing.)

That tacky painting in the "bedroom" does look like Harry and Estelle Getty! LOL!!!

I could fumigate the pro-Nazi cooties...hopefully. I mostly like it but even me being a historical purist (not really but kinda sometimes) would probably punch it up with a couple more modern touches. I'm genuinely curious to know if I'm the only one who really likes the green walls. Green is one of my favorite colors and I find it very calming and I like how it's used here, but I know a lot of people hate green. I also like the red accents that are here and there.

Agree about the weird tile/wood in the bathroom, but I also think that's one sad looking bathtub. I wish it were bigger or more dramatic looking.

Love all the windows. I also like the solarium minus the weird family room at the end of it.
