Default Pierre Cardin – $355 Million Bubble House, France

Talented fashion designer Pierre Cardin is well known for his very unique and out-of-this-world designs. His creativity is also seen in his taste in houses because his former home in France is just like no other. Cardin’s former 13,000-square-feet home comes with ten bedrooms, three swimming pools, several gardens, and an amphitheater. The house is referred to as the “bubble house” because of its architectural design. The place is up for rent with a daily rate of $31K. You can also buy the whole place if you can afford its $355 million price tag. These days, Cardin’s fortune is at a whopping $800 million.

I think it’s bonkers and kind of amazing, minus the amphitheater. I would totally vacation there

I don’t like the exterior colour though.

When I was a kid, there was a park near my house that had these...I don't know what they were, kind of faux adobe structures that you could climb on and it looked just like this house. Loved that park. This would be an awesome place to throw parties.

There's so much ugly here. I wanted to be generous and say I like the pool, but no.

has it been added too? It looks so much bigger than when I saw it (outside only!!!) when I was young.
It looks amazing in that countryside though which doesn’t seem to come across here.

    Ah yes then...

Bubble Palace was designed by the Hungarian architect Antti Lovag, who wanted to build a home that mimicked humanity's earliest dwellings in caves. The mansion was built between 1975 and 1989 and, spans roughly 13,000 square feet, including dozens of rooms; the grounds, meanwhile, boast three swimming pools, several gardens, and a 500-seat amphitheater”

Only from the outside and I can’t remember if it was from the road or from a boat.
I like the cote d'azur but it’s now crazy expensive and full(er) of tourists. I’ve not been for ages but you need to pick your location and time.
I’m not a beach goer (In the 80s when everyone else was roasting in baby oil & tiny bikinis I would be wearing cotton leggings, long sleeved t-shirts & a big hat. I got a lot of respect from the locals and a LOT of “funny looks” from the tourists) but the countryside around there is beautiful. The lavender, the biot glass (handmade glass with bubbles in it), the villages, the churches......

No way. My claustophobia is kicking in from all those low ceilings.
I have some famous friends and I have mostly not famous friends.
