The house and its builder, micro-architecture enthusiast Derek Diedricksen, were featured in The New York Times; it’s called the “Gypsy Junker” and is “made primarily out of shipping pallets, castoff storm windows and a neighbor’s discarded kitchen cabinets.” It’s a steal at $1200.

These are basically glam caravans but I could easily live in a place this small. I'm a minimalist and organised so the lack of space wouldn't bother me at all. The only issue I would have is pet smells - I'm not putting kitty litter within a few feet of where I eat or sleep.

I'd love one of these in the backyard for its charm. Wouldn't wanna live in it, I've seen jail cells bigger than that. I prefer lots of clear space to walk around in.

They are cute, but I could not handle it. Too small.

I could totally live in one as long as it was designed to be functional for its size. There are some really nice ones at that website. Love the Scrumpy Barn house.

We are seriously considering the tiny home lifestyle. Put that baby on wheels and go off the grid for a while.

The house I live in is the smallest house I've EVER lived in...and it's Buckingham Palace compared to these places. I do not, and will not, go smaller. While I love this place--it's the smallest I'll ever go.

My house is pretty small too. I getclaustrophobicjust going into our closets! And we have four people, sometimes five if my oldest son stays the night, and two cats and it is pretty cramped in here so those tiny houses for me...I already have one just not on wheels.

That's a good idea for one person or a couple but I don't see how a family with kids could function. It's too small.

This reminds me of the sample layouts at Ikea. They fascinate me when they manage to get a nice kitchen, bath, sleeping area and living area, with some storage, in under 400 sq ft.

Here's a link a sample in Brooklyn. I wish they showed the layout like a blue print.
