I love the red wood gate and the dining table, although the chairs look contrived. When everything else in the house looks so meticulously planned, you're not fooling anyone with your mismatched chairs.

i don't necessarily love all their furniture and artwork but i love the house itself. that's a really great renovation, perfect balance of super modern and respect for the older architectural elements like mouldings, etc. i love the openness of it and the light fixtures and ceiling fans.

on the other hand, i really hate how they put paintings on a shelf all the way at the top of the wall in the living room/kitchen. it really fucks up the flow of the space and kind of weighs that side down or something. also, those mickey mouse paintings are vile and i couldn't have that polka dot painting in my bedroom, it would give me seizures or something.

Did they base the rug on the painting or the painting on the rug?

I quite like a lot of this, but mostly the dog.

When I first saw the exterior of the house it looked like Subic Bay in the Philippines.
