I'm adding a couple of pics--a room at the front of the house, because the other pics show the back of the house and I wanted to get a sense of how it fits together:

...and the staircase, because it's really beautiful.

Apparently the whole place was gutted when they bought it; it was being converted back to a single family home from apartments and the process had stalled out under the former owner.

I actually quite like this. I find these tall, narrow homes weird and uncomfortable conceptually, but this is pretty nice for what it is. Love the giraffes. I'm a little weirded out by those huge floor to ceiling back windows. The article describes them as "sliding"--so they open? How is that safe? Really strong screens??

I'm not appreciative of a lot of the furnishings, but the space overall is wonderful. I like the office space, but wouldn't have done the walls in such a dark shade. I like the living room, but the mirrored couches would have to be tossed out one of the big windows. And I don't want to look at that lady glaring at me on the dining room wall.

I don't like the idea of living in a glass box.
