    Default Private Residence in Colombia

House Blurring Boundaries in Colombia by Arquitectura en Estudio

This elegant and breezy residence completed by Arquitectura en Estudio in Villeta (100 km away from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia) blurs the lines between the interior and the exterior. Design was influenced mostly by the surrounding site (the lush vegetation of the mountains) and the ever-present warm weather. Funny thing, the property has no windows or doors, only a carefully knit timber screen, which can completely open or close at will (adding a sense of privacy). The interior comprises a widely spread living-dinning-kitchen area, four bedrooms and several bathrooms. The living room area, connected to the swimming pool and the decks, spills into the landscape.

that's awesome. i would love to spend a holiday there. décor-wise, hate the furniture and the fug blue tiles outside but for a holiday that wouldn't matter. the surroundings and the house itself are pretty great.

^I don't even understand what exactly I'm looking at. But the location (nature wise) is great; great views.

I couldn't see the house for all the photo shopping/colour correcting that's going on in those pics.

It'll be nice until you look down and notice a snake slithering towards your feet.

I think this is beautiful but I'm not sure so much al fresco is a good thing. Are there mosquitoes in Colombia?

Yeah, how do you keep the bugs out of a house with no windows/walls. I'm a mozzie magnet so these considerations are important.
