Amazing Flat in London with Green Views Over a Peaceful Park

This exemplary two-bedroom ex-Local Authority duplex with south-facing garden and balcony is located on the iconic Alexandra & Ainsworth Estate in St Johnís Wood. Built in the late 1960s to a design by the revered Modernist architect Neave Brown, the development has been given a rare Grade II* listing by English Heritage in recognition of its architectural significance. This flat has a particularly good position on the estate, with green views over a peaceful park to the rear. It has been sensitively refurbished by the current owner, an architect, who has fitted a modern kitchen and bathroom and solid oak floors in recent years. The best original features have been retained, including the sliding door that separates the reception room from the dining area, the timber staircase, the fitted wardrobes, and the wonderful glazed timber-framed sliding doors.

Awesome space, would love to see what I could do with it. The decor is vomitous.

This housing complex is a favourite with TV/movie directors, especially crime shows. The flat is OK but nothing spesh. I really dislike the curly bookcase/wallpaper combo.

Wow, it's like factory living. All the houses are so close together it looks claustrophobic. The house itself looks okay, space wise.

i love the house itself and i love that he kept all the original features but his decor sucks ass. i too hate that curly bookshelf, it was everywhere at one point and i never got the appeal. the only things i like are the dining table and chairs/bench, that metal mesh chair and the shelves and pictures in the stairs with the wooden antlers .the rest sucks.

I saw this estate on "The Bill" once and wondered where it was as I loved it.
