Default A 1950s Council House Renovation in South East London

Seventeen: A 1950s Council House Renovation

Interior Architect Magnus Scholz and his partner Creative Director Aubrey Laret, of M+A London, purchased a 1950s end unit council house in Nunhead, South East London, and set about renovating it for modern times. It wasn’t just the interior of Seventeen that got a revival, the original brick exterior got a makeover as well.

i despise the interior except for the cow rugs and the wall clock. the exterior is ok except for the stupid fluo yellow windows.

Those plastic orange chairs are so ugly I want to cry. Also hate the fireplace. And I don't get that big stone block at the end of the stairs. It looks like they want to stumble on it, or something.

Horrendous. I'm really really surprised they got that through planning and building control, those gits are notoriously arsey when it comes to renovation or new builds.

Maybe the owner works in the planning dept. Apart from the hideous furniture I quite like this but it doesn't exactly blend into the streetscape does it? Pretty garden.

I think they made a mistake calculating the stairs, and they solved it in the worst possible way. That block is dangerous.
