    Contemporary Wooden Home: Mary Lake Residence by Altius Architecture

    Toronto-based studio Altius Architecture has designed the Mary Lake Residence. Completed in 2010, this 3,000 square foot, two story contemporary home is located in the Village of Port Sydney, Huntsville, Ontario.

    eta: i also hate all the furniture and the tile in the bathroom is fucking offensive.

    This home is beautiful...I would love it! Just this morning I was talking abour retiring in 10 years...yes, still 10 years away, but I would love to get a nice lake house to soak up my golden years.

    I was just going to say, is that stainless steel or a slab of marble/stone? If it's steel it has to go - I know from bitter experience it's a bastard to keep clean (try WD40). If it's stone I quite like it for some reason. The rest of the house just looks unlived in and unloved. And way too much timber.
