Lavish Home Design With a Little Extra: 604 Acacia House in California

Inside and out, the 604 Acacia House designed by Brandon Architects in Corona Dl Mar, California, USA, inspires a lavish way of living. The street facade is surprisingly open, with plenty of windows and just a picturesque wooden fence marking the property border. The two-level building displays a variety of eye-catching symmetries, in both architectural elements and materials employed. Its modern geometry culminates with a flat roof, surrounded by white flower pots, which are visible from the street side.

Hate the bedroom with the bathroom in it and open shoe shelves on the side. WTF?

Based on the 2nd and 3rd pictures, it appears the bedroom is completely open to the rest of the house, only sectoined off with a glass wall? And the bathroom is open too? That's just too weird for me. I suppose it would be ok for a single person, but imagine getting ready in the morning with kids running around and a spouse still trying to sleep while you brush your teeth and shave in the sinks just feet from your bed. I mean, it looks cool, but the function of the space just doesn't make sense to me.

No, I'm single and I don't want to fall asleep looking at the toilet.

Sinks in the bedroom don't bother me, our old house in Geneva had them as do a lot of older homes in Europe and it's actually very convenient. I also don't mind the bathtub in the bedroom, providing there's a separate bathroom nearby with a toilet and shower.
But anyway it doesn't matter because this house is ugly

I saw that, too. How is one supposed to spit out toothpaste in that thing?

I was prepared to find something to like here, because the outside is kinda cute. Then I noticed the pillow case with "Mr. Right" embroidered on it. Screw it, the inside is ugly and all that glass is hideous.

Hopefully as close to the drain as possible! Look at that thing. You would probably hit the faucet 2 times out of 3.

Okay, I have a little thing about toothpaste spit.

I've seen those glass walls in houses before, that's so not my cup of tea. A bathroom made of glass? Defeats the purpose, IMO. Other than that, it's gorgeous. Love the dark wood with the cold white surfaces, neat.
