    Default Costa Esmeralda Concrete House

Costa Esmeralda Concrete House by BAK Arquitectos

BAK Arquitectos created this contemporary summer residence in 2011 for a client living in Costa Esmeralda, Buenos Aires Province, Agentina. The structure is separated into two intersecting volumes; one for social use and one for private activities. The client requested the project of a summer house with aesthetics and benefits, in terms of maintenance, built of concrete houses in Mar Azul.

I hate to say it, but I am a fan of drywall and subfloor (though I do love a wall of exposed brick). I imagine cleaning this place would be fun, just run through your house with a power washer and call it a day.

I'd rent it for sure. It's too odd to have as a permanent home though.

    ^^^
    it's a summer home.

i like it. it makes sense in that climate, and as a summer home.
their sofa and armchairs would have to go though. and i despise red bedding.

I wonder what the acoustics are like with all that concrete.

More Stairs Of Doom. It's a bit Cold War brutalist with all that concrete but would be hugely improved if they put some decent furniture in there instead of random stuff they found in a skip. Where are the doors?

I want to like it, but it makes me think tombs, headstones, mausoleums, and skinned knees. Also bugs.

It makes me think of Navy boot camp in Orlando, Florida.

Is that a sink or a bathtub next to the toilet? Or both?
