    Default Residencia DF in Brazil

Interiors Added a Highly Contemporary Twist: Residencia DF in Brazil

Pupo Gaspar Arquitetura completed the design and development of an imposing contemporary house located in São Paulo, Brazil. Residencia DF has a complex layout and was structured on two levels. A large paved road leads the way to the main entrance. This particular side of the construction reveals a sober exterior, in a gray plaster finish, somewhat lacking the welcoming factor. The opposite facade opens up towards an inner courtyard with a veranda and barbecue area by the swimming pool.
The first level accommodates a generously-sized living and dining space, a gathering area for the entire family. Functional zones are subtly divided: the lounge area, dining table, kitchen, bar, veranda. Wood was employed throughout, diminishing the imposing effect of the high ceilings and turning it into a more welcoming atmosphere. A white marble staircase connects the main floor with the bedrooms above. One of the strongest design features of Residencia DF in Brazil is the presence of large windows, contributing to an optimum connectivity with the outdoors.

It seems to be a very big house with a lot of space ... so why on earth are the toilets so close to the sink?

    sterile, boring and soulless.
i do like some of the outdoor furniture though - the slatted wood chairs and the picnic table.

    It's very brown.

The bedrooms and the office look a bit like a spaceship, so white and ambient-lighty and sterile. Some of the stuff in the living room is nice though and the outside bit is nice.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
