Helene and Elaine bought this charming wooden house in the middle of Rodeløkka in Oslo (Norway) together with friends and turned it into a family home.

I was looking for the "color" too.

i kinda love it. the place has great bones, regardless of decor. i especially like the bedroom, because it kind of reminds me of mine...same style built-in closet with overhead cabinets.

I would love it as some sort of shared or vacation pad. I like everything in it and it's got a fresh vibe but I wouldn't go for that style/scheme full time.

How much colour do you people need? Sure, there's plenty of white but there are a ton of colours too. And clutter. I could do without so many tchotchkes and random bits of fabric everywhere but I love a lot of it. I love the dining room table and the toile wallpaper in the bedroom. I wish that big white cabinet behind the dining room table was wood instead of painted white.

Didn't say I didn't like it, because I love that stark cottage look, but the house has no color anywhere. It might have said colorfully decorated house.

It looks small and messy, and I don't like the chairs.

hate that wallpaper and horrid purple throw on the bed! Other than that, I'm satisfied with the little splashes of color in each room.

Yes, I think theirs is "stark white backdrop with colorful decor." I do love the palette they chose.

totally agree, including the cabinet comment. I particularly love the throw on the couch (NOT the horror on the bed.)

I could live here, actually. Well, if there was more storage or a bigger room somewhere...
