    Default Bill Gates' Equestrian Estate

Multibillionaire Bill Gates now owns a place in Wellington, FL, paying $8.7 million in cash. The Mediterranean-style residence is vastly different and much smaller than Gates’ high-tech and modern compound near Seattle Yahoo! The home Gates just purchased in Wellington is reportedly a residence he and his family rented last year in January while his teenage daughter competed in the Winter Equestrian Festival. Built in 2010, the estate has 4 beds and 4 baths with a 7,234-square-foot, open floor plan. Horse-friendly features like a 20-stall barn and show-jumping arena were likely part of Gates’ decision to buy thehome.

I like the kitchen and the outdoor space but the rest is meh.

    It's very Bill Gates: boring.

So very bland! The pool looks small in these pics, and that bathtub...I like the idea but I prefer to shower off before I get into a bath (so I'm not marinating in my own dirt), and there is no shower to be seen nearby.

Keep in mind this is someone elses stuff-no doubt it will look very different with a teen age girl there.

Well, you know, I wouldn't balk at living here. I love the area rugs, the furniture looks comfortable and slouchy (not too formal), and yeah I'll take that kitchen. Lots of "my style" here. And I'd kill for that gorgeous, flower-draped pergola by the pool.

I don't like the kitchen, especially those curtains.

I really like most of it, but the curtains in the breakfast nook are awful.

I'm with you, Brookie. There's room for us both in there.

Damn right. Go pee in the bushes, then come back and we'll get trashed under the pergola.

Ok, if there's booze involved, I'll agree.
