Default A beach cottage near Paternoster on the West Coast of South Africa

This beach cottage near Paternoster on the West Coast of South Africa is built entirely of local stone. The charming house was designed to blend into the surrounding countryside.

A little too rustic cottage for me. The living room furniture is awful, but the bedroom isn't so bad.

I could vacation there, but not live there full time.

I find the dark ceilings depressing. This really is no more than a holiday beach shack, and as such okay, except for the death stairs.

I like it but I'd have to toss out the twee country furniture, especially all the white wicker bullshit.
