No child would ever be allowed to draw on anything inside a home in my lifetime. I see how kids are allowed to put stickers over every goddamn thing in their room and then it spreads to other rooms and they wonder why I have a conniption.

^^^We bought a house earlier this year. We love the home, but did a lot of cleaning up. The kids had left gum stuck onto the floor of the lounge room and outer deck. (We counted 28 pieces of gum we scraped up). Also, the little turds also wrote in permanent marker on walls and had stickers randomly placed in the house as well. We got rid of all of it, but these kids were out of control. Their parents wanted to be their friends and let them live life with few boundaries. We hear stories from neighbours often!

I'm thinking they must be blackboard surfaces... but yeah, if I had them in my home they'd be confined to one wall in a kids' playroom and maybe a small, framed-in one in the kitchen to be used as a message board.

^^ Yes, there's a blackboard paint you can buy that will turn any surface into one you can use chalk on (and clean/erase afterward). It could've been a nice touch to choose, oh, a section of the kitchen and paint it that way, but the whole damn thing? It looks like outer space in there.

Anyway, I hate this house. But it might be easy to fix the things that fuck it up.
