Juanita Jordan to sell Chicago penthouse - Chicago Tribune
Juanita Jordan, the ex-wife of Bulls great Michael Jordan, plans to place her 8,000-square-foot, triplex Lake Shore Drive penthouse on the market Tuesday for $5 million.
The move comes less than three weeks after Michael Jordan placed his 56,000-square-foot Highland Park compound up for sale for $29 million. The Jordans, who divorced in 2006,* purchased both properties during their marriage, and in their divorce settlement, Michael wound up with the Highland Park mansion while Juanita received the Lake Shore Drive penthouse.
Now Juanita Jordan, 52, has decided to sell the penthouse unit at 1100 N. Lake Shore Drive, which includes the building's roof. The couple paid $3 million in the late 1990s for it.
Listing agent Melinda Jakovich of Coldwell Banker called the penthouse "absolutely stunning" and said it would be formally listed Tuesday. Jordan is selling the penthouse because she is an "empty-nester" whose children now are in college, Jakovich said.
The four-bedroom unit has 5 1/2 baths, a media room and views in all directions.
Juanita Jordan also owns a massive, newly built mansion in Chicago's River North neighborhood, which she purchased in 2007 for more than $4.7 million. Meanwhile, His Airness also owns an 11-bedroom, $12.4 million mansion in Jupiter, Fla., as well as a condo in Charlotte, N.C., where he is the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats.
Crain's Chicago Business first reported the news of the penthouse's listing.

Nice apartment, hate the IKEA decor, but I think it was from a home staging because Juanita hasn't lived in that particular residence for a number of years.
