Default Near Toulouse, a Restored House Hides in Plain Sight

Three medieval buildings two houses and a garage were combined in 2007 to make one 8,600-square-foot six-bedroom family home in the French town of Albi, near Toulouse. The exterior was deliberately left untouched so it blends in with its surroundings. The house is on the market for 1.5 million euros ($2.1 million).

really cool house and the interior space is awesome but those people need to be flogged for having such crap taste. i am especially offended by the coffee table and all their disgusting armchairs that look like they were stolen from airport lounges.

Except for the death stairs and the landing with no railing, which are both really dumb.

my thoughts exactly, except the awful armchairs reminded me of the captain's chair from star trek.

i'm also totally at a loss for how the 80s contemporary living room goes with the cottage-y kitchen and the rustic rattan-filled dining room.

The space is awesome, not too sure about some of the decor though. It seems a bit confused in places.

I love industrial spaces turned into homes, but this one seems very dark - almost no windows. A couple of skylights maybe. And while I like the exposed beams, I probably would have sprung for some more insulation in the roof.

That's cheap, all things considered! Love the space, love all the original brickwork.

I love this! I'm always amazed when people take spaces not intended to be homes and turn it into a home!
I am going to come and burn the fucking house down... but you will blow me first."
