Default Breakfast at Tiffany's house up for sale for $6 million

If you've daydreamed of living like Audrey Hepburn's character in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' - here's your chance.
The New York City brownstone her character Holly Golightly called home in the 1961 classic is on the market.
The four-floor townhouse, with all its romantic fixtures, is selling for $5.85million.

Look familiar? The townhouse at 169 East 71st Street on Manhattan's posh Upper East Side is where Audrey Hepburn's character called home

Landmark: The building's exterior was used for the film, and interiors were shot at a sound stage in California

It is currently separated into two duplex apartments, but owner Peter Bacanovic said it could easily be converted into a single-family home with ten bedrooms.

Fixtures: The top apartment features two bedrooms with en-suite baths and three fireplaces

Spacious: Downstairs, a lower apartment features two bedrooms, two fireplaces, a solarium and a large backyard

I guess in Manhattan that passes for a "large backyard".
As Canadian as possible under the circumstances

Isn't that a pretty great price for such a big place there? If I win the Powerball jackpot tonight I am so buying this!

People who put big flat screens in front of gorgeous old fireplaces should be shot.

Agree - but buy the place and put it elsewhere. Lovely place.
