I love the sound of rain on a tin roof (looks like tin, anyway) but on the whole they are crazy if they think that price will sell. Unless it comes with a lot of acerage.

There is no way that house in Hillsborough, NC is worth $598K. It's 30 minutes outside of Durham, NC, which is the closest city, but Raleigh, which is next to Durham is the state capital and much larger. There's nothing of note in Hillsborough. It just doesn't make sense.

Riverfront, adds $200K. The rest of it: 2600 sf, historic 1800s, impeccably updated. Still they'll be lucky to get $450K. If that much.

I could happily live there...if I could get past the price and that it's in NC where humidity and bugs and really bad drivers exist.

I could have sworn I saw this house on some makeover show or other - only made note of it (or one darn near like it) because I live not too far from there.

It's like 2 totally different houses. Everything is rustic and then all of a sudden you go to that kitchen and you've hit suburbia.

Hard to believe that's what's inside. Looks like Jed Clampett's house from the outside.

Yep. The transition is way too much.
