    Jill Greenberg's Hollywood Hills escape

( Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles Times ) The white stucco facade of Jill Greenberg's house is a subtle nod to a relief map. "This site is actually a drainage zone, so I studied old geological maps and superimposed topography lines on the building's surfaces," designer Beth Holden said. "I tried to create moments between the existing site and the new architecture."

Don't care for it - I do like the view, but that must have been one hell of a clear day in LA. Any time I've been there, the air is brown.

Completely devoid of any personality - looks like they opened a design magazine and copied everything in it.
And I hate hate hate that one orange pillow in the all white sofa. It's so"look at us, aren't we original and querky". No, you're not!

Rip out all the Lost In Space furnishings and decor and it has potential. I HATE bars in houses.

I kinda like the blue giant beanbag chair thing. I'd love something like that for reading in.

Looks like the set of a really bad 60's "futuristic" film.

This. I can't believe anybody actually lives in this pretentious, uncomfortable dump. It looks very much like the old 60's art museum in Berkeley...that is, like a big, echoey, cement modern art museum. For a home. Ugh. That girl is gonna HATE her room when she gets a little older. NO PRIVACY=teen hell.

Speaking as the mother of teens I TOTALLY want to see what's going on in their rooms. My house. My rules.

I wouldn't want any kid of mine running around a rooftop playground w those railings, little boys can't resist playing on those things.
