Default 108-acre compound west of Santa Barbara

This five-structure family compound in the gated Hollister Ranch community encompasses a valley with 100-year-old oaks and spring-fed creeks.

A bit too rustic for my liking, but you can't fault the views. Swoon. So many beautiful home articles are really about the location or view rather than the home itself, I think. But that's real etate, I guess: location, location, location.

Can we knock it down and build something not hideous with those views?

I like it as well. The outside sort of resembles a barn though.

A bit too rustic, too much wood, too much of a "lodgy" feel.

How can something be west of Santa Barbara??
